Ted Perez

I was speaking with Ted Perez recently and mentioned how perfectly his character aligns with who he is as a person. I told him quite sincerely, 'God really knew what He was doing when He brought you to this production.'

This couldn't be stressed enough. Before connecting with Ted, I had auditioned someone else for the role. When that fell through, it turned out to be a massive blessing in disguise. Ted wasn't just a replacement; he was the intended fit for the Marcus Bryant story. Working with Ted was an incredible experience. He is a deeply dedicated actor who takes the craft seriously. On set, I would occasionally check in on him because he was so quiet during preparations—only to find out he was intensely studying his lines and internalizing the scene. That level of focus means the world to a director.

Ted has become a close friend, and I have no doubt we will be collaborating again in the future. Thank you, Ted, for your commitment to Leesley Films and for bringing such authenticity to the screen.
